Moontide School JuJitsu:  History by the Founder

 Moontide Martial Arts Acadamy (Tsuki Shio Ryu JuJitsu) was named after a spring

called Mount Zircon Spring.  Unique, in that it is one of only two known springs that is affected

by the Moon’s gravitational pull, and responds as the tides. This action brought it the nickname

of Moontide Spring.  Despite all of the possible considerations that could be given to a martial

school named after such an unusual natural phenomenon, it really was not named to correlate to

such marvelous powers. The truth of the matter is that originaly it was named Mexico Martial

Arts Acadamy.  The School then moved to Rumford.  Given that all my corespondence to other

martial entities had been sighned as M.M.A.A.   I needed a name that had the same initials.  A

contest was held within the Dojo and the winning name was Moontide.
